Daniel Lutaaya

Daniel is an Investigative journalist with years’ experience in TV and radio news. Founder and CEO of Uganda’s first 24 hour online multimedia news service, News 24/7, he has produced various investigations that have touched the nation, invoked debate, and stimulated change in policy.

A 3-time winner of the Ugandan national journalism award for extractives reporting, health reporting, and investigative journalism, Daniel is a Thomson Reuters foundation, BBC, Voice of America, and institute for the advancement of journalism fellow.

Following a call for pitches, 10 journalists will be taken through an in-depth course with modules such as introduction to environment crime and environmental law, Introduction to climate change, investigative journalism and the environment and the cause-effect relationship: Does climate change lead to environmental crime or vice versa?
