Elfredah Kevin-Alerechi

Elfredah Kevin-Alerechi is an investigative journalist, AI expert, technologist, and media innovator. With a decade of experience, she focuses on uncovering environmental and social injustices, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. As the Founder and CEO of The Colonist Report Africa and JournoTECH, she leads both organisations in leveraging AI-powered tools and scientific analysis to report on critical issues, including oil pollution, climate change, and human rights violations.

Elfredah is also an AI app developer, web designer, and builder, with expertise in cybersecurity and ethical hacking.

At The Colonist Report Africa and The Colonist Report UK, Elfredah integrates AI-driven research and data analysis to investigate and expose underreported environmental crises in hard-to-reach communities. Her work has brought global attention to critical issues such as oil spills and government inaction in Nigeria.

Through JournoTECH, she bridges the AI literacy gap by training journalists, educators, and marginalised communities to use AI tools for storytelling, fact-checking, digital security, building and developing scalable products and how to enhance their work through the ethical use of AI.
