The Source Protection Programme operates both charitable and commercial programmes as well as a new initiative to work with university journalism departments. You can find out more about our work below.
Charitable
The Source Protection Programme is supported by grant funding in order to provide free access to training opportunities for investigative journalists, freelancers, fixers and newsroom managers. This is done both through open calls and by working directly with other organisations and non-profit newsrooms.

Bespoke
Alongside our charitable work we offer a bespoke service for commercial newsrooms. These programmes are developed alongside our clients and tailored to their specific needs. Any profits made undertaking this work are reinvested into our charitable programmes and help us to train journalists who do not have well resourced organisational support.
If you would like to discuss a programme for your organisation please contact info@tcij.org
Universities
We have also begun rolling out introductory and advanced training sessions for journalism students at universities around the UK.
If you would like to bring our training to your university please contact info@tcij.org
