Wérica Lima

Graduated in social communication-journalism from Nilton Lins University, she is a student of Biological Sciences at the Federal Institute of Amazonas (IFAM). In her career, she worked as a communications officer at the National Institute for Amazonian Research (INPA). In 2019, she participated in the 1st Socio-environmental Journalism Workshop of Amazônia Real and was a social media at the agency between July 2020 and January 2021. Since 2021, she has been a reporter for Amazônia Real and strives to make reports that represent Amazonian diversity and give space for populations to talk about their own realities based on scientific and socio-environmental journalism.

A four-day, in-person training by the Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism (Abraji) on the coverage of climate and environmental advocacy issues holding in Belém, Pará, the Brazilian city that will host the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 30) in 2025.
