Subhra Priyadarshini

Subhra Priyadarshini is the Editor in Chief of Nature India and Nature Portfolio’s globally supported projects. She has been a science and environment journalist for close to 25 years, working with various Indian and global media houses. Subhra trains scientists and journalists in science and health writing, fact-checking and combatting misinformation.

A member of many national and international committees on science communication, science policy, environment and health, Subhra also serves as a Board Director at the World Federation of Science Jouranalists (WFSJ) and is the founding President of the Science Journalists Association of India (SJAI). A British Chevening scholar, Robert Bosch fellow, IREX-UNESCO fellow and a Kavli Prize Media Scholarship awardee, Subhra received the BBC World Service Trust award for her coverage of the ‘Vanishing Islands of Sunderbans’ in the Bay of Bengal and the PANOS South Asia Media Excellence Award for her incisive coverage of climate change issues.
