OCRI sessions at #CodaAmazônia 2023
5 different OCRI sessions will take place during the 2nd edition of the Regional Conference on Data Journalism and Digital Methods (Coda Amazônia) taking place between 31 August and 2 September in Belém and Salvaterra, in Pará Brazil.
First up is a workshop about investigating climate change by interrogating Municipal Public Policies. A 3 data-track workshop consisting of processing climate data with R, using data to set the climate agenda and local data and climate event planning will also hold. Last but not least is an open talk about the challenges of journalistic coverage of climate justice.
#CodaAmazônia is the local version of the Brazilian Conference on Data Journalism and Digital Methods (Coda.Br), Latin America’s leading data journalism event. With more than 40 hours of activities, the event will feature various panels and workshops on topics such as artificial intelligence colonialism, socio-environmental disinformation, data ecosystems and networking in the Legal Amazon.
