Data Track on Climate Change Reporting: Processing Climate Data with R

The Open Knowledge Brasil is holding a three track training session of Climate Change reporting using data during Coda Amazonia, the local version of the Brazilian Conference on Data Journalism and Digital Methods (Coda.Br), Latin America’s leading data journalism event.

The first is on how to process climate data with R. Participants will gain knowledge on how and why to use programming in a news story and a step by step approach to applying the basic concepts of data analysis in R by answering questions as well as debating the “hows” and “whys” with climate data.

Duration:  2 hours

Coda Amazônia takes place between 31 August and 1 September in Belém (Pará) and on 2 September on Marajó Island, also in the state of Pará. The Open Climate Reporting Initiative (OCRI) will be present at five different sessions.

Registration can be done here until 25 August.
