Journalists from 7 Anglophone African countries to now participate in OCRI

The Centre for Investigative Journalism (CIJ) is delighted to announce a third partner in the Anglophone Africa region for OCRI.

The African Institute for Investigative Journalism (AIIJ) will be implementing a project titled: Leveraging investigative journalism for environmental accountability. Targeted towards Journalists in Uganda, this project will develop curriculum on investigating climate change and environmental crimes where journalists will be trained in investigating climate change and environmental crime.

Prior to now, the Anglophone Africa region had two partners working with Journalists in at least seven countries namely – Nigeria, Ghana, The Gambia, Liberia, Sierra Leone and South Africa as part of activities lined up for the delivery phase for Year 1 of OCRI.
