Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT)

Open-Source Intelligence (frequently referred to as OSINT) has been adopted into many investigators’ practice over the past decade and now covers a wide range of skills, tools and techniques.

This practical course will teach you the basics of some key areas of OSINT that will help you not only save time in your research, but also to dig deeper into issues, organisations and people.

This two-part course will focus on two important areas of open source information gathering:

– sourcing leads and evidence through social media
– verification and fact-checking tools

OSINT is an ever evolving field, so up-to-date skills are essential. If you are a beginner, this course will help you get started in the field, for those who already practice some of the skills, the training will provide guidance on using the best and most current tools available.
