#CIJSummer Online hands-on courses confirmed

Data Journalism, Using the Freedom of Information Act, Story Based Inquiry Method and Open Source Intelligence training will take place over four days on 7-10 July as part of the #CIJSummer Conference. They will be divided into one to two hour classes each day. Each course will be priced individually and you will be able to sign up to as many as you like. The number of places per course is limited.

Dr Mark Lee Hunter

Dr Mark Lee Hunter is a founding member of The Global Investigative Journalism Network, the principal author of Story-Based Inquiry: A Manual for Investigative Journalists (UNESCO 2009) and the recipient of many awards for his reporting.

Jenna Corderoy

Jenna Corderoy is a reporter for openDemocracy’s investigations team. She specialises in obtaining documents under the Freedom of Information Act, and has brought several (and successful) FOI challenges at the tribunal.

Jonathan Stoneman

Jonathan Stoneman is a freelance trainer. He previously worked for BBC World Service for many years, as a reporter, producer, later as editor and finally as Head of World Service Training at Bush House.

Luuk Sengers

Luuk Sengers is a journalist and lecturer. He investigates how large corporations affect the environment and climate change for the leading Dutch magazine De Groene Amsterdammer. Luuk is also co-developer of Story-Based Inquiry: an acclaimed and effective method for producing investigative stories.
