Investigating Companies

In this session, we’ll learn how to get the most out of Companies House to answer some of the questions journalists ask themselves when investigating companies: Who owns this entity? What are its assets? Who are its related parties? How can I find red flags? Based on real case examples, we’ll look at how to best use the search functions of the website and how to track relevant information in the documents available. We’ll also explore some of the other databases that can help in your investigations, such as land registries, legal-entity database and corporate registries in tax havens.
