Mapping techniques and tools for climate data journalism

A three-day in-person training in the Ivoirian capital Abidjan following a first online session held 23 and 24 June 2022 for twelve journalists from four West-African countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Côte d’Ivoire).

Participants will learn about cartography, geo-journalism, Geographic Information System (GIS), remote sensing, and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT). thereby building their capacity in how to use mapping and open sources tools in data climate journalism.

Alexandre Brutelle

Alexandre Brutelle is an investigative journalist, director, and co-founder of the Environmental Investigative Forum which is an investigative consortium of journalists and experts on the environment and climate change around the world.
