OCRI-IPYS Grants for the Best Proposals of an Investigation on Climate Change

Two of the 10 journalists who joined the Advanced Course on Investigative Journalism (CAPI in Spanish) at COLPIN 2022, prepared by IPYS as part of OCRI and focusing on different aspects of covering Climate Change, were awarded with a 1,000 USD grant each to pursue the proposals they discussed during the course.

The two journalist selected to receive the grants are:

  • Omaya Sosa (Centro de Periodismo Investigativo, Puerto Rico), for her project focusing on public politics in responding to climate change.
  • María Laura Molina (La Data Cuenta, Costa Rica), for her project that will interrogate climate financing and specifically how international funds received for her country to face climate change are being utilised.
