Call for applications to participate in the PowerTracker programme

Following a successful introductory module session, applications are now open for interested journalists in Southern Africa to participate in the PowerTracker programme of the Oxpeckers Center for Investigative Environmental Journalism. Under the CIJ’s OCRI project, PowerTracker will offer training and professional support that focuses on task-based upskilling of investigative journalists to use collated data in their work.

The programme is aimed at collating data on renewable energy projects in Southern Africa being funded by corporations, governments and other parties. Successful applicants will receive in-depth training and support to produce a data-driven investigation on the climate crisis in the region.

Application closes on Thursday 30 June 2022.
