This introductory course provides a solid foundation in information security to protect yourself and your sources. Learn how to improve your personal security and the security of people you communicate with by understanding threat assessments, safer web browsing, end to end encrypted communications and passphrase management.

The class will help you to understand what InfoSec is, why it matters and the risks of using digital technologies. It includes introductions to:

• threat assessment training
• safer web browsing
• end to end encrypted communications
• an introduction to metadata
• passphrase management
