Gloria Pallarès
Gloria is an independent journalist focused on the environment and global development, and has published in media such as El País, Mongabay and Devex. Her work in the Congo Basin, supported by the Pulitzer Center, has exposed cases of illegal logging and mining and weaknesses in the governance of carbon projects in a total area equivalent to the size of Costa Rica.
In the last decade, she has taught trainings for African environmental media and for international students of journalism and global governance. She has also written for UN initiatives, international think tanks and think tanks on both sides of the Atlantic, and has worked as a news analyst in South Sudan.
Glòria works in five languages and has a background in Biotechnology (BSc) and Biodiversity Conservation (MSc) and Journalism (BSc).
