Dr Aisling Rusk

Dr Aisling Rusk is a practising architect and Director of Belfast practice, Studio idir.  She is also the founding chair of RSUA’s Women in Architecture group, supporting and promoting women architects in Northern Ireland.  In 2020, Aisling was named one of the Architect’s Journal’s 40 Architects under 40, a celebration of the UK’s most exciting emerging architectural talent.  Her research and work explore practices that build connection in the leftover and in-between spaces of cities during and after conflict. Aisling lives in East Belfast with her husband and two children.

A conversation between Gabriela Löffel and Aisling Rusk. We have invited Gabriela Löffel, a Swiss artist whose multi-channel video installation "Inside" explores the concept of art freeports. She will show excerpts of her work and discuss her approach and strategies to exploring investigative themes through art.
