Quetta: Training on climate change storytelling

Following the successful completion of the first regional two-day training workshop held June 23-24 in Pakistan and a call for application, Media Unlimited will hold the second of 3 regional training programmes for professional and citizen journalists in Quetta.

Class duration: 2 days

Participants will be taken through several modules that builds their capacity in understanding climate models to guide reporting, executing climate investigations, data-driven storytelling, as well as telling the story for hyperlocal, local, regional and international audiences. Trainers will also explore the multilayered areas of climate change reporting that includes human safety, food security, impact on livelihoods, disaster preparedness, adaptation and mitigation, innovation and technology, resilient infrastructure, climate finance, climate and gender, climate refugees and migrants, disease burden and policies and practice.
