Mozambique #PowerTracker module 1: Investigating green energy initiatives in Mozambique

As part of the #PowerTracker programme, the Oxpeckers Investigative Environmental Journalism and the Centro de Jornalismo Investigativo Mozambique are holding a two-module training focused on task-based upskilling of Mozambique-based investigative journalists to cover climate change and renewable energy.

Class duration: 2 hours

During the first module, journalists will learn how to use the #PowerTracker mapping tool, be equipped with knowledge about the impact of green crimes on climate change, and the ins and outs of financing renewable energy projects in Mozambique.

Carlos Manuel dos Santos Serra

Carlos is a Mozambican lawyer, consultant, university lecturer and environmental activist, specialising in environmental law and with extensive experience on the topics of management and pollution, waste legislation, and local governance.

Daniel Ribeiro

For the past 16 years, Daniel has served as the Technical and Research Coordinator at Justiça Ambiental, a Mozambican organisation he co-founded in 2004 and volunteered in till 2007. A Mozambican biologist, he has a degree in Biology and a Masters in Ecology from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
