OCRI at COP27

The 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 27) was held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt from 6 to 18 November 2022. Prior to the conference, one of OCRI’s Anglophone Africa Partner, the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID)  on November 2, launched a COP reporting handbook for Journalists. The handbook was put together to fill the gap in the knowledge and capacity for reporting COP.

Akintunde Babatunde, OCRI’s Anglophone Africa Regional Coordinator was also present through out the Conference writing and analysing different perspectives on Climate Change. He also spoke about the ‘technicalities of climate change reporting and OCRI’s footprint in Africa.
