Investigative stories presentation and roundtable in Cameroun

OCRI’s Anglophone Africa partner, Adisi-Cameroun is hosting an official presentation of the results from the investigative stories and a roundtable on the dangers of mangrove destruction and the consequences as it relates to Climate Change. The event follows months of training and mentoring of 10 journalists about Investigating mangroves’ destruction in Cameroon as part of the Open Data for Environment and Civic Awareness intervention in Cameroon implemented under OCRI.

The event holding 12 December 2022 will have journalists, the media, NGOs, CSOs, researchers, administrations and development partners of Cameroon attend. It will among other things bring forward the causes, manifestation and consequences of disappearing mangroves in Cameroon while also evaluating the threats for an urgent and effective action plan.
