The 3-day online workshop on how to investigate and tell stories about Climate Change ran from 6-8 September 2022, with more than 70 participants from 15 countries in Latin America on the first day alone.

This workshop’s content was put together by CONNECTAS’ editorial board, in collaboration with scientists and experts on Climate Change under the CIJ’s Open Climate Reporting Initiative (OCRI) project. The curriculum included:

  • Mapping and Satellite Tracking Tools
  • OSINT Methodologies
  • Follow the Money of Programmes Tackling Climate Change
  • Accountability for Extractivist Industries
  • Communicating Science through Journalism

All of the participants were asked to develop an investigation proposal. The best proposal will have the chance to receive editorial advice from CONNECTAS and will be invited to the 2022 Festival Gabo, in Bogotá, Colombia.
