Call for applications: Climate and Investigative Journalism Fellowship for Egyptian Journalists

ClimateInArabic in partnership with CIJ’s Open Climate Reporting Initiative (OCRI), is announcing the launch of its Climate and Investigative Journalism Fellowship for Egyptian journalists who write about climate change and environmental issues. Application is open to Journalists looking for an opportunity to hone their investigative journalism skills and deepen their understanding of environmental and climate change issues.

Selected candidates will participate in an intense, 3-4-day workshop led by top international journalists and experts. This enriching experience will take place in Egypt in August 2023.

ClimateInArabic is looking for committed journalists residing in Egypt, who are eager to explore the complex intersections of climate change, the environment, and investigative journalism. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of these issues and the opportunity to apply their learning in real time, creating impactful and insightful pieces of journalism.

Following the workshop, participants will be encouraged to develop a proposal for an investigative project. Participants will also be invited to follow-up events and seminars after completing the workshop.
