Apply now: Free training on how to investigate and tell stories about Climate Change by CONNECTAS

As part of the Open Climate Reporting Initiative (OCRI) activities, one of CIJ’s partners, CONNECTAS, is carrying out a free online workshop on how to investigate and tell stories about Climate Change. The training will take place from 6-8 September 2022, and it will include:

  • Mapping and Satellite Tracking Tools
  • OSINT Methodologies
  • Follow the Money of Programmes Tackling Climate Change
  • Accountability for Extractivist Industries
  • Communicating Science through Journalism

This curriculum was put together by CONNECTAS’ editorial board, which includes experienced investigative journalists from all over the continent, in collaboration with scientists and experts on Climate Change.

During the training sessions, participants will develop an investigation proposal. The best proposal will have the chance to receive editorial advice from CONNECTAS and will be invited to the 2022 Festival Gabo, in Bogotá, Colombia.
