Journalist Security Training

In an increasingly uncertain time for journalists’ security in the US, the CIJ has partnered with our friends at Freedom of the Press Foundation, ACOS Alliance and the Electronic Frontier Foundation to deliver security trainings to reporters on the frontline. Initially this new project commits to support local journalists and freelancers who cover migration and events on the US border with Mexico. We will be selecting the first cohort throughout June and July, and the trainings will take place in person in New Mexico and Texas in August 2025.
