Working with the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development, we engaged ten media organisations in Nigeria and Ghana.
Nigeria
Tribune
The oldest running private newspaper in Nigeria
was founded in 1949 and published by African
Newspapers of Nigeria PLC. It has national
coverage with more popularity in South-West
Nigeria.
Premium Times
Launched in 2011, Premium Times is notable for
investigative journalism in Nigeria,
headquartered in Abuja but with national
coverage.
Trust TV
Trust TV is a credible and trustworthy television
channel widely watched by Nigerians. It is
owned by Media Trust Limited, which also
publishes the Daily Trust Newspaper titles.
Dataphyte
A data-driven platform that provides access to
open data useful for journalists, researchers, and
civil society analysts, Dataphyte is a media, research
and data analytics organisation that uses data
science and artificial intelligence tools.
Kiss FM
Kicking off transmission in 2008 with coverage
spanning at least five states, Kiss FM provides
audience with relevant, vibrant and high-quality
content driven by high broadcast standards.
Ghana
TV3
TV3 is a privately owned television station with
an incredible reach and great viewership that
launched in 1997. With its headquarters in
Accra, it has a huge nationwide penetration and
is owned by Media General Ghana Limited.
Starr FM
Starr FM is an Accra based urban, lifestyle
radio station that focuses on the delivery
of compelling programmes for its target audience.
Daily Guide
Regarded as one of the most circulated daily
newspapers in Ghana, Daily Guide has a wide
audience reach and has existed since 1984.
Ghanaweb
A digital news platform, GhanaWeb is part of
the AfricaWeb Holding group, a digital solutions
provider for African publishers. It ensures
balanced and unbiased coverage of the news.
Zami Reports
Zami Reports focuses on the reportage of
gender, environment and biodiversity issues
as a news agency in Ghana with an eco-system
of change makers and solutions journalists.
