Keynote: Imogen Barrer
In her keynote talk Imogen Barrer will look at her investigations into Partygate, Britain’s social housing scandal, and the UK’s hidden homelessness crisis that won six Royal Television Society TV Journalism Awards across 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Her work has also won a Broadcast Award, an AIB award for Best UK Documentary, and she is a 2024 Orwell Prize, BAFTA, and British Journalism Awards nominee.
Originally from New Zealand, Imogen started her journalism career in radio and worked in regional and national newsrooms before joining ITN.
Having been a producer for several years, she travelled across the UK and internationally, working on some of the biggest news stories of the last decade.
At ITV News, Imogen leads teams working on a wide range of investigations. Her main passion lies in exposing issues of social inequality and injustice. Imogen centres people and their stories in her investigative reports, known for their signature humanity and emotional rawness.
