The CIJ and COVID-19

In light of on-going public health assessments as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are reviewing all our upcoming training, including our ACCESS TO TOOLS programme and our CIJ Summer Conference. We're currently experimenting with online video solutions and will update the CIJ website with our progress.

This week (23 March 2020) we made a decision to cancel #CIJSummer Investigative Journalism Conference 2020.
We had hoped that this decision wouldn't be necessary, but with recent advice in the UK and internationally, we believe that holding the conference this summer is not possible. We are hoping to have a much smaller #CIJSummer online.

Everyone who bought tickets to this year's #CIJSummer will be refunded in full, minus any fees like PayPal.

Everyone who has applied for the #CIJLyraMcKee investigative journalism training bursary scheme will be contacted, as we will have to postpone the bursary scheme until next year.

In order to assist in social distancing initiatives to combat the virus, the CIJ team has been working from home since Monday 16 March, and will do so until further notice. In the meantime, we can best be reached on
