Naomi Colvin

Naomi Colvin is a whistleblower advocate with a particular interest in the space where whistleblowing and hacking meet. She writes on information politics at New Internationalist and a few other places besides. Colvin led Courage’s campaign against the extradition of British-Finnish computer scientist Laurie Love.

While the United States is well-known for its draconian punishments for hackers, the United Kingdom is quietly following suit. Using examples from their own work, hackers, activists, and journalists discuss the legal framework which governs cyber crime on both sides of the Atlantic, and why we should all be worried.
