CIJ • Well Told

Last year, we joined forces with some wonderful people from Well Told to present a festival of longform and narrative journalism. It took place on 1-2 March 2019 at Goldsmiths, University of London and was a great success. You can check out reports from last year's event on Well Told festival's blog.

The aim of the festival is to combine great storytelling with cutting edge investigative techniques and also to show that the CIJ is the go-to place for good journalism and networking.

The CIJ Well Told is a distinctive annual festival, it is proof of the growing interest in teaching storytelling and taking the opportunity to introduce the audience for storytelling to our investigative training. Investigative stories must be told in the most engaging and captivating ways. Especially as many of them are rather complex. So co-organising a festival which teaches participants to do just that: creating a great narrative for you stories, is very exciting.

This year, the event is back – it's called Scrollfest and it will be an evening of live journalism to be hosted on 13 March 2020 in central London.
