Funders

The Centre for Investigative Journalism is a registered charity (number 1118602) whose funding has traditionally come from a small, trusted group of foundations in the United States, Britain and Europe. At the same time, like good investigative journalists, we reserve the right to criticise or investigate any of those funders, and to bite the hand that feeds.

Our current funders:

  • The Reva & David Logan Foundation
  • The David and Elaine Potter Foundation
  • The Democracy and Media Foundation
  • Bertha Foundation

Other support for the CIJ’s work comes from:

  • The Lorana Sullivan Foundation
  • The Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust
  • Google News Initiative
