Ghosts of Sochi: CIJ Fellow Exposes Migrant Worker Deaths

CIJ Fellow, Craig Shaw, has conducted an investigation into the 'routine' loss of life suffered by migrant workers drafted in to help build the stadia for Russia's staging of the Winter Olympics earlier this year at Sochi.

Shaw exposes the almost complete lack of training and safety procedures which contributed to the deaths and the general disregard for migrant workers rights, posing grave questions about the huge building projects looming ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
