The Center for Investigative Reporting and the News Lab are pleased to announce that that they will be will be hosting the first “TechRaking” Europe on March 25, 2015, at Google.

The TechRaking conference series connects technologists, journalists (muckrakers) and designers to develop innovative ideas and solutions that bring important news to diverse communities worldwide.

TechRaking London will explore a truly global challenge: How can journalists and technologists create coverage about global warming that informs and mobilizes audiences. In addition to presentations by experts in the field, participants will engage in a design sprint and pitch ideas for a product or service that catalyses audiences to untangle issues knotted in climate change that reveal the scale of the issue in a new and surprising context. The winners of the design sprint will receive development support to implement their idea from The Working Group, a Toronto-based firm specialising in the development of web and mobile products.
